Büchler Reinli + Spitzli AG is an owner-managed tool and mould making company. Andreas Scherrer has been the owner and managing director since 2008. BRS has been one of the leading manufacturers of high-performance injection moulds since 1966.

Chronicle Büchler Reinli + Spitzli AG

  • 2021

    Takeover and integration of the tool maker company Willi Brändle GmbH, Lenggenwil (SG).

  • 2018

    Takeover and integration of the tool maker company Aemisegger AG, Gossau (SG).

  • 2016

    Acquisition of the estate at the Toggenburgerstrasse in Flawil.

  • 2015

    • Introduction and Re-Certification at both locations: SQS and IQNet ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004.
    • Acquisition of the estate at the Wilerstrasse 98 and acquisition of the System 3R Schweiz machinery. Integration of the three production line of System 3R.
  • 2014

    Consolidation with company Reinli + Spitzli AG Flawil.

  • 2009

    ISO 14001 Certification.

  • 2008

    Geberit AG sold the company to Andreas Scherrer.

  • 2006

    Introduction of LaserCusing for customer orders as first Swiss tool maker.

    ISO 9001 Certification.

    HSC milling up to 40’000 rpm.

  • 1999

    Open-end 3D-CAD/CAM with networking workshop/ administration.

  • 1996

    The company Büchler Werkzeugbau AG will be assumed to zu 100 % from company Geberit.

  • 1991

    • Take-over of 2/3 shares of Büchler AG by Geberit Jona from company Blaser. The Büchler AG will be renamed in Büchler Werkzeugbau AG.
    • Beginning with with 3D programming in the department AVOR (work preparation).
  • 1989

    Assumption of Büchler group by comany Blaser in Hasle-Rüeggsau after the death of Mr. R. Büchler.

  • 1988

    Introduction of our own developed palletizing system for electrodes and workpieces. Foundation of company Mecatool as well as legal separation of both companies.

  • 1986

    Realisation of the next building stage; the step-up, in where the Mecatool sales is located today .

  • 1985

    • Move-in into the extended rooms of the erosion department and today's Mecatool production.
    • In the years 1981-85, the room area of the Büchler estate were doubled in 2 stages. Building of an underground garage shared with an immediate neighbour company.
    • Several further CNC machines were put into operation in this time.
  • 1979

    • Acquisition of the first wire cutting EDM machine in the tool maker field.
    • Beginning of external CAM programming.
  • 1977

    Acquisition of the first CNC milling machine as the first tool maker in der Switzerland.

  • 1969

    Acquisition of the Steinemann estate at the Wiesenstrasse in Flawil (today's location). Single-handedly renovation as well as the extension and modernization of the machinery.

  • 1966

    Establishment of company Büchler AG by R. Büchler, H. Disch and W. Kuhn in an old barn - approx. 200 meter away from the today's location.
